This request was to generate a report that compares the client’s native CAD bottle to one remodeled in a vendor’s native CAD package to identify potential discrepancies. Manufacturers will often remodel parts in their CAD package to optimize their processes. For instance, blow molded bottles will shrink as they are cooled, so a manufacturer will make a version of the bottle they can edit so they can increase the size in the areas expected to shrink for the mold.

There are often small errors in translation or discrepancies between how different CAD packages will produce a curved surface. This analysis dives into the differences and presents them to the client so they can decide if a difference requires correction. It involves 6 different cross-sections, 3 CAD overlays, and 3 heat maps showing dimensional issues.
